Taichi began violin studies at age three. He received extensive training from the Boston Youth Symphony, and individual instruction with Peter Zazofsky, before earning his Bachelor of Music Performance from the Boston University College of Fine Arts in 2014. He was a recipient of the Departmental Honors Award and a winner of the 2011 CFA Bach Competition. As a chamber musician, he has received training at BU from members of the Muir String Quartet and performed in collaboration with composers such as Joan Tower and Malcolm Peyton.
Upcoming performances this season include a return appearance at the Boston Civic Symphony, this time as a violinist performing Bach Double with Peter Zazofsky.
